Started as a tiny hole-in-wall in Portland’s SW Hills in 1989, Pizzicato has gone from neighborhood to neighborhood adding pizzerias around town. The family owned business now has restaurants throughout the Portland Metro area and franchise locations along the west coast operated by previous employees or associates. Pizzicato is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Originators of the first “gourmet” pizza in Portland, Pizzicato’s success is due in large part to “foodie” Portlanders with high expectations.
